Guide Dogs for the Blind
Puppy Raising Youth Scholarships

 Guide Dogs for the Blind is pleased to sponsor scholarships to youth puppy raisers, 4-H and non 4-H inclusive.  One $2000 and three $1000 scholarships will be awarded.

Application Deadline 
May 15, 2009 (post-mark date).

Purpose of Scholarship
To provide recognition for

• volunteerism at Guide Dogs for the Blind
• for personal development activities in other leadership, citizenship and community service activities
• for scholastic achievements in high school.

To provide an incentive for further education.

Eligibility
The applicant must

• be a senior in high school
• have actively raised a Guide Dog puppy for Guide Dogs for the Blind
• pursue an education in any field of study at an accredited college, university, technical or trade school.

The Selection Committee will review the applicants, and announce recipients by June 30th.
